Our technology stack:

  • Frontend: the system management interface is written in React and is a Single Page Application.
  • Node for filtering attacks requires maximum performance, that’s why we chosen C for its development.
  • Backend: we use mainly Ruby (RoR for API only and Sinatra) and Golang (Gin), some components and modules are written in Python (aiohttp, Flask, FastAP)
  • QA department using Python for developing integration autotests.
  • Cloud: GCP, Terraform, AWS
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Riak/S3, Tarantool, and Redis
  • DevOps: Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, EFK, Linux

About this opportunity:

We are looking for an Architect to Core team. It is a role for the Distinguished Individual Contributor.

As a Staff Software Engineer in our core team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural decisions of our cloud products. You'll work with Golang and Ruby to design, develop, and refine technologies that are critical to our mission and our users. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects and contribute significantly to our technical direction.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement scalable, high-performance systems using Golang and Ruby.

  • Lead the technical direction of our projects, making critical decisions on architecture and design.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and ship new features and services.

  • Ensure code quality, sustainability, and scalability through code reviews, mentoring, and best practices.

  • Drive innovation by exploring, recommending, and implementing new technologies and frameworks.

  • Address and improve any technical issues, tech debt, or bugs in a timely manner.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Golang, Ruby, and related technologies.


Job requirements

In this role you need:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Golang and/or Ruby, including deep knowledge of their ecosystems.

  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems.

  • Proven track record in architecting and developing scalable, high-availability systems.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative and analytical approach to challenges.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
