Job description
Short facts about us:
We are a global remote-first team of 150+ people on 4 continents and in 10+ countries.
We have been protecting our clients since 2016.
The company has raised over $10M in investments.
More than 200 customers around the world, including Fortune 500, Nasdaq, and high-growth startups choose Wallarm to protect their API and web applications.
The company passed Y Combinator, the most prestigious incubator in Silicon Valley, from which Dropbox, Stripe, Docker, etc. came out.
About the role:
As SEO Lead, you’ll take full ownership of Wallarm’s organic search strategy and execution, driving the next stage of our product-led and digital pipeline growth. You will lead initiatives to grow qualified traffic, convert it into Product Qualified Leads (PQLs) and Digital Pipeline Qualified Leads (DPQLs), and position Wallarm at the forefront of both traditional and emerging AI-driven search ecosystems.
You’ll be a senior, hands-on leader embedded in the growth organization, working closely with content, product, engineering, BI, and demand gen. This role is both strategic and execution-focused, with the opportunity to build and lead an SEO function as we scale.
Key Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy & Execution
Own the SEO roadmap across all digital surfaces: wallarm.com, blog, docs, playgrounds, comparison pages, and use case hubs.
Define and execute a keyword, content, and optimization strategy aligned to our growth themes and competitive positioning.
Drive measurable increases in organic traffic, PQLs, and DPQLs through on-page, off-page, and technical SEO efforts.
Ensure long-term technical health of all SEO assets including performance, crawlability, indexing, schema, and Core Web Vitals.
LLM SEO & Emerging Search
Develop strategies for discoverability in AI-driven search environments such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google SGE.
Optimize content for entity recognition, semantic relevance, and answerability by large language models (LLMs).
Track Wallarm’s presence in LLM-generated results and experiment with formats that improve citation likelihood and authority.
Content & Growth Collaboration
Work closely with content marketing to brief, optimize, and scale content that ranks and converts.
Collaborate with the Growth Web Developer and Product Growth team to build SEO-friendly landing pages, experiments, and CRO flows.
Support high-impact growth campaigns with SEO content (e.g. Imperva displacement, feature launches, Security Edge awareness).
Analytics & Optimization
Define and report on SEO KPIs: rankings, traffic, conversion rates, and influenced pipeline.
Use tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Metabase, and Hubspot to analyze performance and surface opportunities.
Build frameworks and workflows for continuous optimization, testing, and iteration.
Team Leadership & Scaling
Lay the foundation for building an internal SEO team or agency partnerships over time.
Document and operationalize SEO workflows to improve speed and repeatability.
Mentor future SEO hires and collaborate cross-functionally with growth, design, and product leadership.
Job requirements
Must-Have Skills:
5+ years of SEO experience in a B2B SaaS, developer tools, or product-led growth environment.
Proven success owning SEO strategy and execution that drives measurable pipeline impact.
Strong understanding of technical SEO, content SEO, and link-building strategies.
Hands-on experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, Screaming Frog) and analytics platforms (GA4, Hubspot, Metabase, etc).
Interest or experience in optimizing for LLM discovery and emerging search platforms.
Comfort working cross-functionally in high-velocity growth and experimentation environments.
Strong communication skills and strategic thinking—you can zoom in to tweak metadata and zoom out to defend SEO’s role in the go-to-market plan.
Strong verbal and written English.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience in cybersecurity, API platforms, or highly technical SaaS verticals.
Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing, and PLG funnel dynamics.
Familiarity with programmatic SEO, UGC strategies, or automation-based content generation.
Ability to manage contractors or agencies, or hire/manage an SEO team in the future.
What We Offer:
A leadership-track role in shaping the future of Wallarm’s organic growth.
Fully remote and flexible work environment.
Competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses.
Opportunity to directly influence pipeline and company growth through your work.
A fast-moving, experimental culture where you can test bold ideas and scale what works.
